How long have you been in business?
Robyn Buntin began dealing in Asian antiques and Hawaiiana in 1976 on the Big Island of Hawaii. The business moved to Honolulu in 1984 with a location in Waikiki which later moved to Chinatown. In 1994 Robyn Buntin of Honolulu moved to its current location in the middle of Honolulu, just half a block away from the Honolulu Academy of Arts and across from historic Thomas Square.

Robyn Buntin of Honolulu is a fine art gallery specializing in the art and antiques of Japan, China, and Polynesia. The gallery also carries Korean, Himalayan,and Southeast Asian antiquities. In addition to the buying and selling of artwork, RBH is proud to offer archival custom picture framing, art conservation and restoration, as well as art consulting and collections maintenance.

How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Robyn Buntin began his art career as a professional sculptor working in bronze, copper, and stone. His love for Asian art inspired him to open a small store on the Big Island of Hawaii. After several years of business, the store and the entire town of Keaau burnt to the ground. It was at this time that the Buntin family moved to Japan and later returned to Honolulu. The Honolulu gallery has grown and evolved over the past 30+ years to become one of Hawaii's premier art galleries of museum quality Asian and Polynesian art.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
With a history of over 30 years dealing in Asian and Polynesian art, we are able to offer our experience and expertise in the field of art and antiques. Participation in international exhibitions and a world-wide clientele also enable us to find rare pieces from many different private collections.
