Helping Hands Hawaii (HHH) is a private 501(c)(3)non-profit organization. Established in 1941 and incorporated in 1974, Helping Hands Hawaii evolved from the establishment of the Honolulu Council of Social Agencies’ Volunteer Placement Bureau. The agency’s mission is “to strengthen our community by enhancing the quality of people’s lives through the delivery of goods and services to those in need.” Helping Hands Hawaii offers a vital lifeline for the community through its wide variety of programs. The organization’s Behavioral Health Division provides the adult seriously mentally ill population of Oahu and Hawaii Island with clinical and therapeutic services and case management to improve their condition and help them to get re-integrated into the community. The Human Services Division runs critical programs such as: Ready to Learn, Bilingual Access Line, and the Community Clearinghouse.
